In conjunction with our associate company, Javelin Direct, we produce
fully-integrated advertising and direct marketing campaigns for
many clients, both large and small.
Agency History
The agency was founded
in Dublin on May 1st, 1986 under the name Javelin Advertising
and Marketing Ltd.
Eighteen months later,
in November 1987, Javelin was the first Irish agency to establish
a stand-alone, full service direct marketing agency: Javelin Direct
Ltd. (Director: Kyla OKelly).
The two companies
function separately (but used shared resources where appropriate)
and each has its own client base.
In 1990, following
an approach by them, we forged an affiliation with the U.S. based
Young & Rubicam Inc. and incorporated their name in ours.
Young & Rubicam
was established in New York in the 1920s,and it is now Europes
largest, and one of the worlds largest agency groupings. It
also embraces several leading companies in related disciplines such
as direct marketing, public relations and corporate design. Young
& Rubicam is the latest global agency to go public (May 1998,
New York).

market sectors; proprietary Young & Rubicam research into consumer

Mission
Our mission is to build

sheers advertising effectiveness. This can only be determined by
sales figures, shifts in attitudes, altered perceptions or whatever
relevant, objective measure happens to be. ( We can point to case
studies in which results, both in sales and brand-building, have
